Fills, honestly
Every fill in this range gives something and takes something. This page writes the trade out plainly, because a fill that is right for one sleeper is a bad night for another.
Down alternative
Polyester clusters spun to imitate down: light, lofty, machine washable, and free of the allergen and price questions real down carries. It gives you the classic sink-and-spring hotel feel. It takes from you a little longevity: synthetic clusters slowly flatten with use, which is one reason allergy guidance suggests replacing pillows on a schedule anyway.[1]
Memory foam, shredded and block
Foam moulds to pressure and holds loft far longer than clusters. Shredded foam adds adjustability: unzip, remove or add fill, re-fluff. Block foam holds one geometry all night. Both run warmer than clusters, both carry a new-foam smell for the first days of airing, and neither goes in a washing machine: covers wash, cores do not. The verify page shows how to check a foam certification claim yourself.[2]
Feather and down
The one natural fill in the range, in the baffle-box comforter: warm for its weight and drapes closer to the body than synthetic fill. It asks the most care in return: dry cleaning or very careful machine cycles, thorough drying, and it is the wrong choice for anyone who reacts to feathers.

- Dust Mite Allergy: How to Identify and Treat Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America Three claims on the care and protection pages: wash bedding weekly in water of at least 130°F because that temperature kills dust mites, use zippered covers with pores too small for mites on pillows and mattresses, and replace pillows about every two years.
- CertiPUR-US Certification Program Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam, Inc. What the foam certification covers (polyurethane foam tested for formaldehyde, phthalates, heavy metals and low VOC emissions) and that the programme keeps a public directory of participating companies, so the memory foam guide tells you to check the directory yourself rather than take any catalogue's word for it.
